Date filters can follow the calendar
AppFlowy released version 0.14.11 at00:59 UTC on October 26, 2026. Teams managing work gain Today, Yesterday and Tomorrow as relative values in date comparisons, rather than selecting a new fixed date as the calendar advances. The release also adds direct YouTube caption import and safeguards around unavailable row documents.
Self-hosted operators must check the server as well as desktop clients. The release continues to require AppFlowy Cloud 0.19.10 or later, and server support must reach every node handling live edits before missing-row-page recovery is enabled. Updating one employee’s client does not validate the whole deployment.
A relative value expresses a different rule
A task view might show deadlines before Today. That expresses a moving calendar rule; a manually selected date remains a fixed reference. The new relative values work with comparisons such as before, after, on or before, and on or after.
A filter controls which records appear in a view. It does not change deadlines, mark tasks complete or send reminders automatically. Teams still need agreed statuses and a clear owner for maintaining records.
Friday Works recommends testing rows dated yesterday, today and tomorrow, together with rows lacking a date. Check the environment’s date and timezone, repeat across a day boundary and inspect shared views. One screenshot does not validate every date boundary or device.
Friday Works opened the Is before filter in the exact Linux 0.14.11 release and observed the three relative-date choices. This checks the control’s presence in a sample database, not filtering across time zones, calendar rollover or synchronized devices.

Importing captions is not speech recognition
According to the0.14.11 announcement, AI transcript blocks can directly import available timestamped YouTube captions. The developers say this avoids downloading audio and consuming audio-transcription minutes for that caption-import step.
Captions must exist and be accessible. Videos without usable captions still need supported audio transcription or file-upload alternatives. This report does not establish universal support for videos, languages or restricted content.
Automatic captions can misread names, numbers and specialist terms. Review important passages against the original video and retain timestamps for verification. Successful text import does not establish permission to copy or distribute that material.
An empty page does not restore lost content
The new Create empty page action appears when a supporting server reports an unavailable row document. It requires a warning and explicit confirmation, while readable and locally cached material is prioritized ahead of recreation.
Do not treat the action as recovery of the previous content. A blank page may let work continue, but it does not reconstruct notes, attachments or history. Check backups, permissions, synchronization and other devices’ cached content before confirming recreation for an important record.
Upgrade against the workflows the team actually uses
The release also improves grouped Gallery cards, previews, sizing and cover placement, plus Feed interactions. Fixes address linked databases, page references, synchronization and formula-related filters. Check the subset your team depends on.
Friday Works suggests backing up and testing an isolated workspace before wider deployment. Validate relative dates with sample tasks and, when needed, test captions with an organization-owned or otherwise authorized video. Confirm client versions, server support and collaboration flows rather than relying on a successful login screen.
Next steps
Friday Works recommends testing against a copy and keeping evidence before changing a customer-facing system.
